Scope

These Terms apply to Kaneko Lab Portal, a lab-managed internal workflow portal for Kaneko Lab members and approved collaborators. The portal is not an official Kyoto University public service.

Permitted use

The portal is intended only for authorized laboratory research, education, administrative, and operational purposes, including inventory lookup and registration, reservation management, cryo-stock records, useful links, material-support records, and related workflows.

Users must not use the portal for personal, commercial, unlawful, misleading, or unauthorized purposes.

Access and eligibility

Access is limited to authorized Kaneko Lab members and approved collaborators. Eligibility may depend on Google account authentication, lab-maintained role records, and Google Sheets or Google Drive permissions.

The portal administrator may grant, modify, suspend, or revoke access when needed for lab operations, security, data integrity, or compliance.

User responsibilities

• Keep submitted information accurate and relevant.
• Do not bypass access controls or access records outside your authorized role.
• Do not interfere with portal operation or disclose portal data to unauthorized parties.
• Protect your Google account credentials. The portal will never request your Google password or OAuth token directly.

Data and privacy

The portal uses Google account information and lab-managed Google Sheets as described in the Privacy Policy. Portal records may include operational audit information such as the acting user's email address, timestamp, and action details.

Availability and changes

The portal may be changed, suspended, or discontinued for maintenance, security, workflow changes, or lab operational needs. These Terms may be updated from time to time, with the current version published on this page.

No warranty

The portal is provided as an internal lab workflow tool on an as-is basis. While reasonable efforts are made to maintain useful and accurate records, users should independently verify important research, inventory, reservation, and operational information when accuracy is critical.
